The Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation Offers Two 16-credit Programs

 The Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation

Front Royal, VA

Located at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, this opportunity is available for undergraduates and recent graduates interested in conservation. Two 16-credit programs are offered that provide various opportunities including:
  • Participating in field work and practicum experience
  • Networking possibilities with researchers from George Mason, the Smithsonian, and other affiliated scientists
  • Garnering an understanding of the issues related to conservation and an understanding of possible career paths
  • Residing in a Living and Learning Community among those with a passionate interest in conservation
  • Developing communication skills within the scientific community
